This £15 Glossy Balm Just Became My New Favourite Everyday Lip Colour

I have no problem admitting that I’ve got a serious weakness for lip products.
Balms, lipsticks, glosses, liners – you name it, my purse probably has at least one inside. In fact, I recently wrote all about what’s in my bag, and at the time of writing, I had a whopping eight lip products knocking around in there.
All of them have a special place in my heart, especially the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment (in shade Plum), which has been a firm favourite of mine for upwards of a year now, thanks to how easy it is to apply, teamed with its sheer, yet still dark and noticeable colour.
But a new lip product has recently unseated it as my go-to for everyday wear: Milani’s Keep It Full Glossy Plumping Balm, which retails at a very wallet-friendly £15.
I’ve already waxed lyrical about Milani’s Conceal + Perfect Blur Out Smoothing Primer and the Conceal + Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation, which work like magic for my oily skin.
Now they’ve added a new obsession to my shopping list. In these photos, I’m wearing Truffle, a dark brown, but I’m also in love with Lana (plum) and Chili (red).
My one critique is that I don’t notice much plumping going on with my lips. But for me, that’s nowhere near as important as what I do notice, which is that the Keep It Full Glossy Plumping Balm makes my lips feel nourished and smooth, and the semi-sheer colour is really impactful.
It works for when I’m fully dolled up for a night out, but also for when I’ve only got a whisper of CC cream on and I’m taking the dog for a walk.
Now, this isn’t to say I’ve completely broken up with every other lip product in my considerable arsenal: I still have buckets of love for my M.A.C., and Pat McGrath Labs, and Glossier, and… I could go on.
But this versatile glossy balm hits just right when it comes to pigment (I much prefer a darker lip), how long it lasts for a gloss (I fell asleep with it on one night and my lips were still tinted in the morning), how easy it is to apply (a couple of swipes and you’re done), and the price point.
Suffice to say, I am obsessed.
