Four Killed in Iranian Army Helicopter Crash on Isfahan Market
Four people, including the pilot, co-pilot, and two market vendors, were killed when an Iranian army helicopter crashed on a Dorche, Isfahan fruit market.
According to IRNA, the helicopter experienced a technical failure during flight over Dorche’s fruit and vegetable market on Tuesday morning, leading to a fatal crash.
Eyewitnesses and local reports indicate the aircraft struck the market directly, causing casualties among vendors and igniting fires that were quickly addressed by emergency responders.
The CEO of Khomeini Shahr Fire Department confirmed that firefighters were dispatched immediately, extinguishing the flames while securing the area to prevent further injuries.
Authorities have begun investigating the incident, collecting evidence to determine the exact cause of the technical failure and assess safety protocols for military flights.
This crash follows a similar accident last week in Hamedan, where an Iranian Air Force plane went down, resulting in the death of one pilot.
Iranian media report that families of the victims are mourning the loss of their loved ones, while local authorities have expressed condolences and promised full investigations into the tragic helicopter crash.
