One man who certainly understands the club’s DNA is former striker Robbie Keane, who has been mooted as a candidate for Spurs in the summer.
TEAMtalk have now confirmed that the Irishman is ‘in contention’ to take over at the North London club in the summer.
However, the outlet reveals that the current Ferencvarosi boss is also one of the names on Celtic’s wishlist.
In fact, the report asserts that a move to Celtic represents a ‘more realistic and more appealing destination’ for Keane, who is thought to be open to returning to the Glasgow giants.
Spurs may also face a hurdle in bringing Mauricio Pochettino back
It has been widely reported over recent weeks that Tottenham want to bring Mauricio Pochettino back to N17, six and a half years after his exit from the club.
Several sources have also suggested that the Argentine manager is keen on returning to Spurs in the summer after the World Cup.
However, over the last few days, it has emerged that Real Madrid could challenge Tottenham for Pochettino’s signature in the summer, with the Los Blancos president, Florentino Perez, said to be a long-term admirer of the 53-year-old.
