Paphos airport, nearby villages ‘evacuated’ – reports
Paphos airport was evacuated on Monday afternoon after a “suspicious object” was seen on radars, according to reports.
News website Reporter stated that instructions had been given for the terminal to be evacuated.
Meanwhile, a source from the interior ministry informed the Cyprus Mail that while no evacuation orders were given for nearby villages, residents of the nearby village of Timi were instructed to avoid “unnecessary movements”.
It had been reported that Timi, alongside nearby Mandria and Konia, had been evacuated.
