’90s Metal Icons Announce 25th Anniversary Tour of Breakthrough Album
Spineshank have announced that they'll be touring their breakthrough 2000 album The Height of Callousness to celebrate its recent 25th anniversary.
The band confirmed the announcement on social media, with an original poster that revealed they'll be playing the album in its entirety during their shows.
'The Height of Callousness' Was A Huge Album for Spineshank
While the band had previously released Strictly Diesel in 1998, it wasn't until The Height of Callousness that they finally became international stars and received their due recognition for pioneering the nu-metal genre through the early 2000s.
Spineshank's upcoming tour, titled the Nu Metal Sucks tour, marks the first time the band's original lineup will perform alongside new additions Tommy Decker Jr. and Jason Hager for an extended period.
Jonny Santos, Robert Garcia, and Tommy Decker, who performed on the breakthrough album, will also be present on the tour.
According to Spineshank's post, the tour's supporting acts will include a mix of old and new metal bands; Kissing Candice, Tidalsband, Oceans on Other Planets and Carbonstone will join them on the road.
The last time Spineshank released original music was back in 2012, but the band has recently been active on socials and teasing new content over the past few years. In 2025, drummer Tommy Decker gave an interview to confirm the band has been working on new material.
“There’s some stuff [coming]. It might be a little while." he said. “We’ve gotta this guy and this guy on it, so Tommy Junior and Hager, the new additions to the band. So we got a few songs. We’ll see what happens, probably sometime next year.”
