Iranian Red Crescent: Over 550 Killed in US and Israeli Attacks
The Iranian Red Crescent Society announced on Monday that at least 555 people have been killed following US and Israeli attacks across various parts of Iran.
The organization said the figures were based on field reports collected from affected areas, describing the casualties as the result of extensive aerial and missile strikes over the past three days.
According to the Iranian Red Crescent, at least 131 counties have been targeted nationwide, indicating the broad geographic scope of the attacks.
The humanitarian body added that more than 100,000 rescue and relief personnel have been placed on full alert across the country to respond to emergencies and assist victims.
Officials said assessment operations are ongoing, warning that the death toll could rise as search-and-rescue teams continue working in heavily damaged areas.
Al Jazeera reports that attacks carried out by the Islamic Republic across the region have killed at least 51 people and wounded nearly 300 others, citing official data from affected countries, including 10 deaths in Israel, 31 in Lebanon, three in the United Arab Emirates, two each in Kuwait and Bahrain, two in Iraq, and three American soldiers stationed in the region.
The reported casualties come amid escalating military confrontation between Iran, Israel, and the United States, with cross-border strikes intensifying over recent days. Explosions have been reported in multiple Iranian cities as tensions sharply rise.
While Iranian authorities report heavy losses from foreign attacks, Israel and the United States say their operations are aimed at military infrastructure. Independent verification of casualty figures remains difficult due to restricted access to impacted sites.
