'Most alarming sign': Trump admin warned of red flag over 'biggest fan' of Iran strikes
A media analyst flagged the "most alarming sign" for the Trump administration following its decision to strike multiple sites across Iran on Saturday morning.
In the wake of the strikes, President Donald Trump's MAGA coalition appears to have soured on him, according to Will Sommer, a reporter who covers the right-wing media scene for The Bulwark. However, there is one voice that has risen above the fray to defend the president — MAGA fan and fervent Pizzagate conspiracy theorist Mike Cernovich, Sommer reported.
"In perhaps the most alarming sign of all for the Pentagon and White House, the war’s biggest fan is none other than Pizzagate promoter Mike Cernovich," he wrote on Monday. "With even podcast host Benny Johnson waffling on the war, Cernovich appeared on Johnson’s show Monday to cheer him up. And he had good news: The United States can avoid blowback for its military adventures, Cernovich said, because its weapons are so good they’re essentially 'alien technology.'"
The U.S. and Israel teamed up to strike several sites in Iran on Saturday, an operation that killed multiple Iranian government officials and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the brutal dictator who has ruled the country since 1989. Trump has said the strikes will continue indefinitely until the U.S. achieves its goals.
Democrats and some Republicans have pushed back on Trump's justification for the strikes, arguing that Iran did not pose an imminent threat to the U.S.
