IHOP Giving Away Free Pancakes for 2026 National Pancake Day – How to Get Yours Today

IHOP has officially declared Tuesday, March 3, to be National Pancake Day, and to celebrate, the chain is giving away some delicious menu items. Here’s how you can claim your free treats today.

IHOP Celebrates National Pancake Day on March 3

IHOP is encouraging fans to “meet up” at their local restaurant between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. local time, where you’ll receive a free Short Stack of buttermilk pancakes with any purchase. The deal is only available for dine-in orders and can only be claimed on March 3.

"As the leader in breakfast, pancakes are part of our DNA — so much so that they’re embedded in our name,” said Lenna Yamamichi, Vice President Brand Creative, IHOP. “This National Pancake Day, we want IHOP to feel like more than a restaurant. We're getting creative and flipping the narrative, transforming IHOP into the go-to meetup spot to grab a free Short Stack, settle into a booth, and turn a simple meal into quality time. No planning, no pressure, because pancakes just taste better when the table’s full.”

Donations Will Help to Feed Those in Need

The chain is also partnering with Feeding America for a fundraiser, which will provide meals to families in need. For every dollar donated in IHOP restaurants on March 3 will help to “provide at least 10 meals to local Feeding America partner food banks, turning every stack shared into support for families facing hunger.”

To commemorate National Pancake Day, IHOP is bringing viral musician Mr. Fantasy for an exclusive “meet up” at the chain’s Sunset Boulevard location in Los Angeles. “Since my arrival to L.A, IHOP pancakes have been my ‘go to’ breakfast. I was absolutely gobsmacked when they asked to team up for National Pancake Day,” said Mr. Fantasy. "Bringing people together in all shapes and forms is imperative to my mission here on this giant spinning marble we call Earth.
