adidas Terrex Partners Mark Gonzales for Shmoofoil Collection

Anchored by the fully technical Skychaser GTX and equipped with GORE-TEX protection for waterproof coverage, durability, and traction across demanding terrain, the silhouette is built for those who move fluidly between concrete and dirt, delivering stability and protection while carrying Gonz’s creative signature. Designed for real conditions, the shoe reflects a shared ethos between skateboarding and the outdoors: movement without boundaries.

“I’ve always been drawn to where worlds collide,” says Gonzales. “Whether it’s skating or art or the outdoors, it’s all movement, just different surfaces. TERREX builds products that are meant to actually be used and handle real terrain. That mattered to me. I wanted to shape something that performs without compromise, and make sure my world was built into it.”

Extending beyond footwear, the Shmoofoil capsule includes outerwear and apparel infused with Gonz’s artwork through reflective detailing, puff print, and screenprint applications. Each piece balances technical functionality with creative expression, reinforcing the intersection at the heart of the collaboration.

To mark the launch, adidas TERREX will partner with Tactics in Portland for a community-driven event to showcase a custom content piece they partnered on to highlight the collection on March 5. Shot between Tactics and SEEK Skate Camp in Sandy, Oregon, the film captures an adidas team rider moving across city streets, forest trails, and mountain terrain before converging at the park. The launch event will also feature dedicated in-store installations, storytelling moments, and first look at the collection.
