Disneyland’s 2026 Food & Wine Festival: 10 best things to eat and drink

Foodies flocked to Disney California Adventure for the 2026 Food & Wine Fest to sample and share small plates highlighting California-grown ingredients while grazing from one booth to the next on an epicurean adventure.

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival kicked off on Friday, March 6 and runs through April 27 with local, celebrity and Disney chefs offering cooking tips during culinary demonstrations, tasting seminars and signature events.

The 2026 Food & Wine Fest returns with eight festival marketplace booths offering small plates highlighting California-grown ingredients. DCA eateries and food stands as well Downtown Disney restaurants will also serve festival fare.

Food & Wine Fest Sip and Savor passes are back again this year that allow visitors to purchase a prepaid card with eight or four digital coupons good for individual items at food and beverage stands throughout the event.

A Sip and Savor card with eight tabs good for individual items at food and beverage stands throughout the festival costs $64 for 8 items with a $5 discount for Magic Key annual passholders. The 4-item Sip & Savor pass costs $34 with no AP discount available.

You don’t have to buy your food at the booth where it’s served. The best bet is to figure out everything you want to eat and order it all at once from the register stand with the shortest line. Then you can pick up your food whenever you want.

The Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo booth had the shortest line with the most open cashiers on opening day — in part because it was furthest from the front entrance and had the least festival traffic.

The Peppers Cali-Ente booth had the longest line of the day because it had three of the best items at the festival that all landed in our Top 5.

Here are the Top 10 things I ate and drank from the Sip & Savor menu at DCA’s 2026 Food & Wine Festival.

1) Ramen Mac & Cheese

Furikake crumble, fish cakes, green onions and chile crunch

I was expecting ramen noodles, but the mac & cheese was made with traditional elbow pasta.

The spicy chili crunch and gummy-textured fish cakes gave the dish just the right flavor profile that played on the idea of a classic ramen bowl.

This take on Japanese comfort food mixed with an American staple like mac & cheese is what I love most about the Disney Food & Wine Fest — culinary mashups that bring cultures together.

2) Torta Ahogada

Braised pork carnitas, frijoles charros, pickled onion and salsa

The Torta Ahogada is a signature “drowned sandwich” from Guadalajara that looked like a wet burrito even though it was built like a sandwich.

There was no way I could have eaten this with my hands. It’s a fork-and-knife dish all the way.

It wasn’t too soggy for a wet item even though the bread was soaked in spicy salsa sauce.

You could easily make a meal out of the torta — unlike most of the other Sip & Savor items that are meant for sampling and strolling.

3) Pork Chile Verde Chalupa

There was no surprise twist here with this traditional Mexican snack served on a deep-fried masa dough “boat” — which chalupa translates to. Just a great chalupa with a nice texture to the chalupa shell and tasty green chile salsa on the pulled pork.

The chalupa was about the size of a street taco with maybe three or four bites.

Paradise Garden Grill sells a meal-size version with rice and beans if you want more than one chalupa, but that’s not available with the Sip & Savor pass.

4) Strawberry Guava Lemonade

Lemonade, strawberry puree and guava syrup topped with vanilla cream and freeze-dried strawberries

Lemonade is one of my four basic food groups and this twist is by far one of my favorites yet.

The combination of strawberry puree and freeze-dried strawberries gave this drink an amazing aroma.

I could drink this all day — which could be dangerous.

5) Tajin Habanero Wings

Seasoned with Tajin chile-lime sauce

Hot wings have pretty much become a staple of the Disney Food & Wine Festival and this year’s twist is one of the best yet.

The Tajin Habanero Wings were tender, moist and delicious, especially considering they came out of a food booth.

The Tajin replaces the spice with a sweetness and tanginess that left me craving more.

The small Sip & Savor serving comes with three wings that are perfect for sharing.

6) Frozen Banoffee Banana

Milk chocolate-dipped frozen banana with toffee pieces, caramel sauce and white chocolate drizzle

The candy bar toppings sprinkled on the frozen banana tasted like a Heath, Skor or Caramello.

Obviously, the Disneyland chefs were inspired by the Sugar ‘n Spice ice cream stand on Balboa Island known for frozen bananas and Balboa bars.

Tell your friends or loved ones to get their own frozen banana if they ask for more than one bite.

7) Chicken and Waffle Mole Taco

The Disneyland chefs clearly had fun developing this humorous play on chicken and waffles.

The slightly sweet waffle was chewy even though it looked like a hard taco shell.

I’m a big fan of mole and hope this tasty take on the Mexican culinary staple shows up more often throughout the parks.

The three-bite taco was the perfect snack size sampler if you’re tasting your way through the festival.

8) Cherry Cola Cold Brew

Disneyland’s latest twist on cold brew is the perfect combination of coffee, cream and Cherry Coke flavors.

The cold brew tastes like a cross between a chocolate-covered cherry cordial and coffee candy.

Fortunately it’s not too sweet, like far too many of Disneyland’s drinks.

9) Carbonara Pizzetta

White sauce, applewood smoked bacon and black pepper drizzle

This looked like a little Lunchable-sized pizza, but it tasted more like cheese bread.

It was pretty doughy and bready with a strong peppery aftertaste from the pepper drizzle.

Once I got “pizza” out of my head I liked it.

10) Chicharron Nachos

Chicharron, chorizo, cheese sauce, tomatoes and salsa verde

Every year there’s an oddball item on the menu that you’ve just got to try — and this year that prize goes to the Chicharron Nachos.

It’s the most unique thing I’ve ever tasted at the Disney Food & Wine Festival.

I’ve never eaten “nachos” out of a cup — although that certainly made them easier to walk around with.

The chicharrons serve as the tortilla chips in these nachos that are pretty spicy by theme park standards.

You can see all the layers of individual ingredients when you first get the cup o’ nachos until you “shake it up” as you’re instructed.

The shaken Chicharron Nachos look pretty nasty, but fortunately they taste much better than they look.
