Terrifying Snowboard Crashes at Paralympics in Milan Cortina
Several athletes crashed during their fight for gold in the 2026 Milan Cortina Paralympics. Several happened during training runs when snowboards jockey for first position.
The snowboard cross races, with athletes like Emanual Perathoner, Ben Tudhope, Tyler Turner, and Noah Elliott, had several falls and board contact incidents, which are common in that event because riders race side-by-side.
Australian gold medalist Amanda Reid was rushed to the hospital after a brutal backward crash off a jump during her opening snowboard cross run. She fell back onto her head and lay motionless. She was evacuated and reportedly taken for scans for her back and to rule out a concussion.
Davy Zyw of England crashed out during his pre-heat trial run and was unable to finish.
