When Did You First Try Skiing? (Poll)
My home mountain is Palisades Tahoe, California.
On a daily basis, if not hourly, I'm reminded that I am not the best skier on the mountain. Sure, there are plenty of 30-, 40-, and 50-somethings who can best me, but, more embarrassingly, it's the kids. The kids are so good these days.
My mom and dad first put me on skis 4-years-old. Because of this, I can claim that I've been skiing my whole life, but the frequency at which I actually skied was quite low until I became a young adult.
Compare that to the groms who ski 100 days a year at Palisades Tahoe, and I never had a chance...
With that in mind, POWDER's Department of Polls and Skier Opinion has a new question for our weekly poll: When did you first try skiing? Answer below.
Bonus points to all of you who started skiing as adults! That's rad.

About the POWDER Weekly Poll
We launch our weekly polls at 3 p.m. Eastern Time every Monday. They remain open until 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time the following Friday, with the results dropping on Sunday at 9 a.m. Eastern Time. You can participate and see the results right here on our website or by visiting our Instagram page.
While you’re at it, drop us a line or leave an Instagram comment if there’s a poll you’d like to see next. Skiers have plenty of opinions and preferences, and we want to know which ones might land on top of the heap.
