Iran warns of infrastructure retaliation amid intensifying US-Israel strikes
Iran warned it will do the same to its enemies if attacks on its infrastructure continue, as the United States and Israel intensified military operations across the country and the wider Middle East. Officials in Tehran said the war entered a new phase while Washington signalled its largest day of strikes since the conflict began.
Israel and the US have increasingly shifted their targets towards civilian infrastructure such as water desalination plants, oil depots, civilian airports, and residential buildings. All of these are considered war crimes according to international law. Over 1200 Iranians have been killed by Israeli and American bombs so far, most of them civilians and over 200 of them children.
