When asked about working with Connor, Kaden said to iHeartRadio Canada: “It’s just so easy. He’s such a kind person and a talented actor. Great combination. He’s just so easy to work with. Everyone he was on set with, interacting with, different actors and stuff, he’s so easygoing. It’s never an intense energy with him. But he’s very focused, as you should be, on his work.”
He also spoke about having fun while filming.
“It was such a joy and pleasure to work with him. I think me more than him because Ilya, if you’ve watched the show…the moment before where he was with his dad, right? He’s coming into that scene probably not as playful as Sasha is,” Kaden added.
Kaden also revealed he originally auditioned for the role of Ilya.
“I actually originally got the breakdown for Ilya. That’s the original role I auditioned for…from there, they basically were like ‘we’re going in a different direction’…I had a follow-up email. They’re like ‘Hey, we like him, but not necessarily for Ilya.’”
He was also asked about Sasha returning for Season 2.
“I don’t know anything. I’m going to be honest, and I’m not just saying that,” Kaden remarked.
“I wish I had tea…things happen so quickly. I know that the whole team, production, everything, they’re all like ‘Okay, we’re doing this now.’ Renewed two seasons. It’s a lot of work…there’s never hard feelings if it’s not aligning with the incredible story,” he explained.
“I think there would be a few fans who would be disappointed if Sasha didn’t come back,” he noted. Watch above!
