It happened because we have a manager inexperienced at this level.

Too many times he was out manoeuvred by a coach that knew how to get his team firing in pressure situations..

Any sort of average away form would have kept us alive in the play off calculations.

We knew Davies was inexperienced when we hired him, we either have to accept that this season is a steep learning curve for him and have faith he will find the right answers or admit we didn't really want a young manager after all and get rid.

I'll admit I'm not 100% on Davies, the style of football is tedious in my opinion and ineffective against the better teams at this level with our current squad. But I do think he deserves a good go at it next season.

I agree with you - although I share everyone's frustrations (and if we have a new manager soon, fine - as long as it's the right appointment, obvs!) but I wonder if Knighthead will think 'OK, it's not panned out as well as we wanted, but we knew that it was CD"s first job at this level, so let's give him the opportunity to improve).

I'm not suggesting that he will or won't improve, by the way, but I wonder if Knighthead will accept that he is, after all, new to the job - and to the Championship, so worthy of support.

I suspect not,but perhaps this is the penalty for hiring inexperience, and just perhaps they'll give him more time.
