Ahead of Michael Jackson Biopic Release, a Mini Jackson 5 Reunion Goes Down on Stage
In a little over a month, on April 24, the highly anticipated biopic Michael hits theaters. Directed by the highly esteemed Antoine Fuqua and starring Jaafar Jackson as his uncle, the film tells the story of Michael Jackson's life and legacy. The King of Pop is arguably one of the most popular celebrities in the history of the world, with a cultural footprint that extends beyond iconic albums, songs, and videos. And before Jackson became this global “king,” he started out in the one and only, The Jackson 5.
As many know, The Jackson 5 was a group developed in the 1960s by the Jackson family patriarch, Joe, and featured Michael, along with his brothers Tito, Jackie, Marlon, and Jermaine. They spawned hits like “ABC” and “Dance Machine,” and all five siblings last reunited on stage together in 2001 for the Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration concert. Fast forward to 2026, and while Michael and Tito have unfortunately passed, a modified version of The Jackson 5 hit the stage all the way in Switzerland.
