Teyana Taylor Responds to Backlash Over Her Gracious Reaction to Losing Oscar to Amy Madigan
Teyana Taylor was nothing but gracious and supportive of Best Supporting Actress winner Amy Madigan‘s victory at the Oscars, but the internet seemed to have an issue with the way she reacted to the defeat.
Teyana and Amy were nominated against each other at the 2026 Academy Awards on Sunday (March 15) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Teyana was up for her performance in One Battle After Another and Amy took home the award for her performance in Weapons. After the winner was announced, Teyana was one of the first people out of her seat to give a standing ovation for Amy.
Someone on Twitter shared a clip of the moment and said “something was off.” Teyana replied.
