‘Battlefield 6’ is Offering a Week-Long Free Trial
Starting on March 17 and running through March 24, Battlefield 6 will be free to play for anyone who downloads REDSEC, the always free-to-play battle royale mode. During that time, players will be able to try a sampling of the game’s paid content via three playlists:
- Nightfall: This includes Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, and Domination. Matches will take place in the dark, necessitating night vision goggles or other attachments to see. This will also include the new Hagental Base map.
- All-Out Warfare: This features Conquest, Breakthrough, and Escalation, which are three large-scale modes more in line with what players associate with the Battlefield series. There will be four playable maps here, including Hagental and Contaminated, which was added in Season 2.
- Casual Breakthrough: This is the Breakthrough experience but with a smaller base of actual players, as the other slots are filled with bots—always a good place to complete the game’s various challenges. Three maps will be available here.
If you saw my post-launch look at Battlefield 6 last month, you know I think highly of the shooter, so if you’ve been curious about the game this is a good opportunity to check in.
Battlefield 6 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
