Why We Love This Deal
Vaunted Brooks running shoes like the Adrenaline, Ghost, and Glycerin get all the attention and accolades, but they’re certainly not the only pairs in the brand’s lineup worth considering. If you’re a runner or walker who likes plenty of support under their feet, it's worth looking into the Beast, an underrated favorite in the Brooks stable. This shoe recently went on sale and sold out lightning fast on the Brooks website, but it’s still available on sale at Zappos right now.
The Brooks Beast GTS 24 is on sale for $120, a 25% discount from its normal price of $160. This may not seem like a large discount—because it's not—but those who understand the level of comfort it provides are more than willing to pay full price for it, which makes the $40 drop even more enticing. This shoe is available at that price across three colorways with a full size range in stock—over at Brooks, it’s almost completely sold out. At $120, Zappos’ price matches what Marathon Sports and Fleet Feet are offering, and it beats the price at Dick’s Sporting Goods.

What Shoppers Should Know
- Color: 3
- Sizes Available: 8-14
- Weight: 12.4 ounces
- Drop: 12mm
- Best For: People who overpronate or need a lot of support when walking or jogging
The Beast is Brooks’ max-support shoe, and it’s designed for athletes and walkers who overpronate (the foot rolls too far inward during your stride) or who just need extra stability under their feet. It uses similar tech as other support shoes (the Adrenaline GTS and Glycerin GTS), namely GuideRails, or areas of firmer raised foam around the edges of the footbed that guide your feet and keep them aligned within the shoe from landing to toe-off.
The Beast utilizes DNA Loft v3, a nitrogen-infused foam that dissipates impact forces and offers good energy return, and overall it has a relatively firm underfoot feel—it’s not as soft and pillowy as the max-cushion Glycerin. Cushioning-wise, it’s similar to the Adrenaline, but the Adrenaline is much lighter, which makes it better suited for faster-paced running.
The Beast has a heftier build, which makes it ideal for walking, long hours of standing, or slower-paced jogging. Many also note its firmer design makes it a good pick for heavier athletes: Unlike lighter, cushier shoes, it won’t get overly squishy and squirrely underfoot.

What Shoppers Are Saying
The Beast is the kind of shoe that elicits strong responses from shoppers, and it has developed a devoted following. One shopper noted they’ve worn Beasts for over 30 years and was particularly impressed with the 24th iteration. “This one is a winner,” they said.
Others praised its “very good fit” and said it offers “lots of support.” Others called it a “godsend” for relieving foot and leg pain and loved that it’s “easy on the feet and ankles.”
The Beast is basically gone at Brooks, and with this 25% discount in effect, Zappos will likely run out of stock very soon as well. Snag your pair ASAP before your size and preferred colorway disappear.
