Man fatally shoots teen attempting to rob him with gun in West Pullman, police say
A man fatally shot a teenage boy who tried to rob him with a gun Wednesday in West Pullman, according to Chicago police.
The man, 27, was in the 11700 block of South Normal Avenue at 3:36 p.m. when the boy, 16, approached him with a handgun and demanded his belongings, police said in a statement. The man shot the teen with his own handgun.
The teen was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead, police said. The man was taken in for questioning, and two handguns were recovered at the scene, police said.
