Reality TV Star’s Body Discovered in Thailand Drainage Ditch Under Mysterious Circumstances
Reality TV star Jordan Wright was found dead in a drainage ditch in Thailand. He was 33. Wright appeared on MTV's Ex on the Beach in 2017 and had a run on the British reality series The Only Way Is Essex in 2018.
Prior to his death, surveillance footage captured him "running around erratically." A worker then discovered Wright's body in a drainage ditch near Bang Tao Beach in Phuket on March 14, reports Daily Mail.
He was found face down and barefoot, wearing a grey shirt and black pants. Wright's body did not show signs of physical trauma, though officials noted it had "been there for some time."
His phone was found nearby. He had his hotel key in his pocket. His hotel, Hotel COCO Phuket Bangtao, is about 20 minutes from the ditch where his body was found.
Based on his Instagram, Wright appeared to have moved to Thailand over the last few months. On Jan. 22, he posted a GoPro-style motocross video with the caption, "POV: you move to Thailand..." He also posted several photos in Thailand before and after that. He captioned a Dec. 10, 2025 photo dump from Phuket, "A very exciting year ahead."
Wright appeared to also be an avid motocrosser, posting several POV videos as he ripped around Thailand.
Wright's last post was on March 6: a collection of photos taken in Phuket with the caption, "I'm home."
Prior to his time on The Only Way Is Essex, Wright worked as a firefighter. Per Daily Mail, he was fired from the show after it was revealed that he had taken paid sick leave from the London Fire Brigade when he was actually filming. Wright went back to firefighting before pivoting into finance. His last known job was at the investment firm Hampton Gate Wealth.
