Mahershala Ali Joins 'Task' Season 2 on HBO Opposite Mark Ruffalo
Mahershala Ali is joining the cast of Task!
The 52-year-old Moonlight Oscar winner will be joining the HBO crime drama series for Season 2.

The cast includes returning lead Mark Ruffalo who, for right now, is the only confirmed actor to return from the first season.
Season 2 will follow FBI Agent Tom Brandis (Ruffalo) as he “takes the helm of a new task force, but the deeper the operation runs, the harder it is to tell who’s the target,” via THR.
Mahershala will play Eddie Barnes, a “well-respected DEA agent in Philadelphia whose team comes into conflict with Tom’s.”
Tom Pelphrey, Emilia Jones, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, Thuso Mbedu, Fabien Frankel, Alison Oliver, Raúl Castillo, Silvia Dionicio, Phoebe Fox and Martha Plimpton starred in Season 1.
Here’s a synopsis of Season 1: “In the working-class suburbs of Philadelphia, an FBI agent heads a task force to put an end to a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspected family man.”
Season 1 of Task has a 96% Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 77% audience score.
