Here’s When the Season Ends for Every Oregon & Washington Ski Resort
The Pacific Northwest (PNW) has had quite the roller coaster of a ski season.
From no snow and late ski area openings to massive storms that dump feet of snow before turning to rain and unseasonably warm temperatures throughout the winter, there's no doubt it's been weird. Yet, ski areas in Oregon and Washington have made the most of it, opening when they could and putting grooming teams to work to keep conditions good.
Unfortunately, continued warm temperatures and rain, especially in Oregon, have caused many resorts to close earlier than anticipated. A few in Oregon and much of Washington have managed to hang on, and some are still targeting original closing dates.
There is a storm system in the forecast for the PNW that should come in later this week. Ski areas further north in British Columbia could actually pick up significant snowfall, and colder temperatures might mean decent snow conditions.
Mt. Baker Ski Area is predicting 18-25 inches, whereas other Washington resorts like Stevens Pass and Crystal Mountain might see more of the 4-8 inch range. Oregon ski areas will see less, but Timberline could get 5-8 inches, and Mt. Bachelor could get 1-2 inches.
