Alfred Integrates Smart Locks With ELK Alarm Engine Platform
Alfred International has announced new integration with the ELK Products E27 Alarm Engine platform. Built on the Z-Wave protocol, the integration allows security professionals and system integrators to incorporate Alfred’s Z-Wave smart locks directly into ELK’s security and automation ecosystem, enabling unified control of access and alarm systems.
The integration connects Alfred’s Z-Wave-enabled smart locks with the ELK Alarm Engine platform and the ElkConnect mobile application, enabling users to manage door locks alongside their broader security and automation system. Installers and end users can lock and unlock doors, monitor lock status, and create automation rules that link access events with security system actions.
By combining smart lock access control with professional security systems, the integration enables a range of automation scenarios designed to enhance both security and convenience, including:
- Automatically arming the security system when a door is locked
- Unlocking doors when the security system is disarmed
- Generating alerts when a door is unlocked unexpectedly
- Automatically disarming the alarm when an authorized user enters a PIN code at the lock
The integration also provides system visibility features, including event logging, notifications, signal strength monitoring, and battery status reporting. It supports a wide range of installation environments, including residential, high-end residential, light commercial, and government applications.
