According to Forbes, Woods' net worth in 2026 was $1.5 billion as of March 28, 2026. That number makes history for several reasons. First, the $121 million in prize money that Woods, 50, has earned from his golfing career is a PGA Tour record, Forbes noted. Second, Woods became only the second active athlete to become a billionaire; the only other active athlete with that distinction is LeBron James.

Forbes reports that Woods' net worth was generated by more than golf. He also owns two homes on Jupiter Island and has engaged in a number of investments, including partnering with other celebrities in golfing and luxury real-estate ventures, Forbes reported.
Woods, whose net worth has skyrocketed in recent years, was listed as "self-made" and also benefits from a series of endorsements, Forbes added.
However, because he has been plagued with injuries and hasn't played in major tournaments, Woods was only listed as number four on Forbes' list of the world's highest paid professional golfers. He is listed as number 2,600 on the magazine's list of billionaires.
According to USA Today, Woods last played in a major at the 2024 British Open, as he has been recovering from back and leg injuries. However, he did play in the TGL Finals in Florida a few days before the crash, where he was photographed in an embrace with his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump.

USA Today noted that one of Woods' homes on Jupiter Island is located near where the crash occurred. Woods bought the mansion "nearly five years ago for $44.5 million," People reported.
“Tiger built this house on more than four lots and has made the surrounding property into a mini Olympic Village,” Jeff Lichtenstein, a real estate agent with Illustrated Properties, told People, of Woods' main house on Jupiter Island. “It is a property he developed for his own personal use, which also serves as a training facility.”
Added People: "The estate has a four-hole golf course with sand traps, 100 ft.-long swimming pool, diving pool, spa, 100 ft. field and track area, tennis and basketball courts, a pair of boat docks, and a reflecting pond. Inside the facility is a 5,700 sq.-ft. fitness center."

Photos emerged showing Woods leaving jail. In a news conference, the Martin County sheriff alleged that Woods refused a urine test, although he did not test positive for alcohol. The sheriff said Woods came up behind a truck's trailer and ran into it, flipping his car. Neither Woods nor the other driver was wounded in the crash, but Woods was accused of DUI and property damage, the sheriff said.

Woods' home on Jupiter Island was the focus of scrutiny after his release from jail. Drone video footage showed the residence. The drone photos showed Woods' front door propped open and his car in the driveway.
