Sincere thanks for a safe repatriation from Abu Dhabi
Having spent an extended ‘holiday’ in Abu Dhabi after a seven-day cruise in the Persian Gulf I would like you to include this thank you letter in your newspaper.
I would like to thank the Republic of Cyprus, Cyprus Airways and everyone involved in my repatriation back home to Cyprus on a Cyprus Airways flight on March 11 from Dubai international airport to Larnaca airport.
After a seven-day cruise in the Persian Gulf I found myself in a ‘war zone’ in Abu Dhabi but the government repatriation ‘team’ kept us well informed.
The Cyprus Airways crew had made the flight from Cyprus to Dubai into a ‘war zone‘ to bring a group of us back. Their professionalism and consideration for all concerned went well above the norm.
My thanks too to the ground crew in Dubai who did a very professional job and to Abu Dhabi President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his government for keeping us safe.
This was done at no cost to myself and all paid for by the Republic of Cyprus.
During my eleven-day ‘extended holiday visit‘ I was looked after and kept safe with all hotel expenses covered by the Abu Dhabi government.
Thank you also to the Abu Dhabi people. I hope to return one day to fully enjoy this amazing country and its culture.
