Adams Returns For Petershill Park Trip
Head Coach Joelle Murray has named her Hibernian Women starting XI for tonight’s SPWPL fixture against Glasgow City, making one alteration.
The single change follows from our Edinburgh Derby victory over Hearts at Oriam 10 days ago.
Jess Fitzgerald and Rosie Livingstone found the back of the net to see off our city rivals in dramatic fashion to allow an injury-struck Hibs to walk away with all three points.
There are no changes at the back; with Noa Schumacher once more in goals behind a backline of Lauren Doran-Barr, Siobhan Hunter, Scarlett Herron, and Stacey Papadopoulos.
After leading Hibs to derby day victory last time out, Hunter will once again captain the side.
In the middle of the park, Ciara Grant is partnered with fellow Irish midfielder Fitzgerald – who nabbed her first Hibernian goal in our last outing versus Hearts.
Livingstone – who, not for the first time, scored the last-gasp Edinburgh Derby winner – and Tegan Bowie are deployed on the wings.
Fresh off the back of a Scotland ‘A’ Squad recall, Eilidh Adams is restored to the starting line-up after missing out at Oriam due to illness.
Kathleen McGovern – also named in the latest Scotland squad – leads the line after being forced off early against Hearts.
A number of returnees are named on the bench, with Club Captain Rachael Boyle and Vice-Captain Ellis Notley both named amongst the substitutes.
Hannah Jordan, who makes way for Adams, is also listed as a substitute this evening.
Rowena Armitage, Caley Gibb, Faye Bryson, Tiree Burchill, Kirsty Morrison, and Jess Ramsay round out the full bench available to Joelle Murray.
As stated by Murray earlier this week, Kirsten Reilly and Linzi Taylor are both ruled out.
