Tokayev awards Vietnam’s Communist Party chief with Dostyk Order
The Head of State emphasized that Kazakhstan and Vietnam share warm and friendly relations rooted in a long history. He recalled that in 1959, Vietnam’s first President, Ho Chi Minh, visited Kazakhstan — a visit that laid a solid foundation for the development of multifaceted ties between the two nations.
Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan and Vietnam have built relations of a truly strategic nature.
"Your state visit to our country is truly historic. It marks an important milestone in the development of Kazakh-Vietnamese relations. Following today’s talks, we have agreed to establish a strategic partnership, which will elevate our bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level. We have the political will and significant economic potential to achieve this, opening wide-ranging opportunities for both nations. In recognition of your exceptional role in strengthening the bonds of friendship between our countries, allow me to present you with a state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan — the Order of Dostyk, First Class. I am confident that you will continue contributing to the deepening of fruitful cooperation between Kazakhstan and Vietnam," President Tokayev said.
