Soon-to-be Arsenal midfielder Christian Norgaard has been spotted with Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta at the Sobha Realty Training Centre today.
The Brentford star has reportedly undergone a medical and will be the third signing of the North London club this summer.
Arsenal want to bolster their midfield following the departures of Jorginho and Thomas Partey, and Norgaard will officially be joining Martin Zubimendi as their replacements in the coming hours.
The 31-year-old and Berta can be seen in the photograph above uploaded by an Arsenal fan, and it all but confirms the update from The Athletic journalist David Ornstein earlier today.
Norgaard brings plenty of Premier League experience, leadership and quality to the table, and he will fancy his chances of immediately breaking into the first-team plans of manager Mikel Arteta.
The 6ft 1in Denmark international has played 122 times in the English top-flight, scoring 11 goals and assisting 13 times, and his aerial dominance will come in handy for the Gunners given their ability to convert chances from corners and free-kicks.
Norgaard also loves to intercept and block balls, and he could prove to be a massive addition to the Arsenal midfield as they look to go one better in the Premier League title race next season after three consecutive campaigns of finishing second in the table.
The Gunners are now well-stocked in the middle of the park, with the Dane, Declan Rice, Zubimendi, Mikel Merino and Myles Lewis-Skelly all available to feature in the position going forward.
They have also sorted out their depth in goal after Spanish goalie Kepa Arrizabalaga joined from Chelsea, and they will now look to bolster their attacking ranks and also sign a defender if need be.
Arsenal will be desperate to win a major trophy next season, and they will need quality depth in all positions if they wish to end 2025-26 with celebrations and a bus parade.
