Wind and rain: storm warning issued in 17 regions of the country

Tengrinews.kz – Forecasters have issued warnings for residents of several regions about thunderstorms, rain, and strong winds, citing Kazhydromet.

Astana – Thunderstorms expected, hail and squalls during the day. Morning fog. Southwest wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s during the day.

Almaty – Thunderstorms expected during the day. West wind with gusts up to 18 m/s. Extreme fire danger persists.

Shymkent – Extreme fire danger persists.

Turkestan Region – Thunderstorms expected at night in the mountains. Northwest wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s in mountain areas during the day. Extreme fire danger persists throughout the region. In Turkistan, extreme fire danger remains.

Aktobe Region – Heavy rain expected at night in the north and east, and during the day in the south. Hail and squalls expected in the south during the day. Thunderstorms expected at night in the north and east, and during the day in the north, south, and east. Northwest and north winds with gusts of 15–20 m/s in the south, north, and central areas during the day. Extreme fire danger persists in the south. In Aktobe, thunderstorms expected at times.

Kyzylorda Region – Thunderstorms, squalls, and dust storms expected in the north and central areas during the day; hail possible in the north. Northwest and west winds with gusts of 15–20 m/s in the north and central areas during the day. Extreme fire danger persists. In Kyzylorda, extreme fire danger remains.

Karaganda Region – Occasional heavy rain and hail expected in the east during the day. Thunderstorms at night in the west and north; during the day in the west, north, and east. South and southwest winds with gusts of 15–20 m/s, sometimes up to 23 m/s in the north, east, and central areas during the day. High fire danger in the north; extreme fire danger in the west and south. In Karaganda, thunderstorms expected at times.

Ulytau Region – Thunderstorms expected at night in the north; during the day in the west, north, and east, with hail possible. Southwest and west winds with gusts of 15–20 m/s in the north and east during the day. Extreme fire danger persists in the south.

Atyrau Region – Thunderstorms expected at night in the east. North and northwest winds with gusts of 15–20 m/s in the east during the day. Strong heat of 35°C expected across the region during the day. Extreme fire danger in the north and east, high fire danger in the south. In Atyrau, strong heat of 35°C and high fire danger expected.

West Kazakhstan Region – Strong heat of 35°C expected in the south and west during the day. High fire danger expected in the south and west.

Akmola Region – Heavy rain, hail, and squalls expected in the west, north, and east. Thunderstorms likely. Fog at night and in the morning in the west, north, and east. Southwest wind shifting to northwest with gusts of 15–20 m/s, sometimes up to 25 m/s. In Kokshetau, heavy rain, hail, and squalls expected during the day with thunderstorms and gusts of 15–20 m/s shifting from southwest to northwest.

East Kazakhstan Region – Thunderstorms expected in the north, east, and south; hail and squalls possible during the day. Southeast wind shifting to southwest with gusts of 15–20 m/s, up to 23–28 m/s in the north, east, and south. Strong heat of 35°C expected in the south during the day. High fire danger persists in the east; extreme fire danger in the west and south; extreme fire danger expected in the northeast. In Ust-Kamenogorsk, thunderstorms expected with gusts of 15–20 m/s shifting from southeast to southwest.

Abai Region – Thunderstorms expected at night in the north; during the day in the west, north, and south, with hail and squalls possible in these areas. Southwest and west winds with gusts of 15–20 m/s, up to 23–28 m/s during the day in the north, south, and central areas. Strong heat of 35°C expected in the south. High fire danger persists regionwide; extreme fire danger persists in the northwest, south, and central areas. In Semey, thunderstorms expected at night and in the morning with gusts of 15–20 m/s.

Zhambyl Region – Thunderstorms expected in the north, south, and mountainous areas. Southwest wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s in the southwest, northeast, and mountainous areas during the day. Extreme fire danger expected in the north, west, and east.

Kostanay Region – Heavy rain expected in the north and east; hail and squalls possible during the day. Thunderstorms likely. Fog at night and in the morning in the west and north. North wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s in the west and north during the day. Extreme fire danger persists in the south; high fire danger in the west. In Kostanay, thunderstorms expected with gusts of 15–20 m/s from the north during the day.

Mangystau Region – Dust storm expected in the north during the day. Northwest and north winds with gusts of 15 m/s in the north during the day. High fire danger expected in the southeast; extreme fire danger persists in the west, south, and central areas. In Aktau, extreme fire danger persists.

Pavlodar Region – Thunderstorms expected in the north and south. Fog at night and in the morning in the west. Southwest winds with gusts of 15–20 m/s in the north and south during the day. High fire danger persists in the west and southeast. In Pavlodar, high fire danger expected.

North Kazakhstan Region – Heavy rain expected in the north, east, and south; squalls and hail possible during the day. Thunderstorms likely. Fog at night and in the morning in the south and east. Northeast wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s in the west, north, and east during the day. In Petropavlovsk, occasional heavy rain, squalls, and hail expected during the day, with northeast wind gusts of 15–20 m/s.
