Fugitive Kazakh national extradited from Turkey
Tengrinews.kz – A Kazakhstan citizen has been extradited from Turkey back to Kazakhstan to face criminal liability.
Details were provided by the press service of the Astana Prosecutor’s Office.
According to prosecutors, the man allegedly deceived a victim into agreeing to hand over a 30 million tenge bribe, claiming it would secure the victim’s release from criminal liability. He is also accused of forging an official document.
“In a court verdict delivered with the participation of a jury, the defendant was found guilty of inciting the giving of a bribe, fraud, and document forgery. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison,” the Prosecutor’s Office said.
The court verdict has entered into legal force.
