Pasay City to roll out Covid-19 booster shot for minors aged 12-17
The Pasay City government will start administering the Covid-19 booster shot to minors 12 to 17 years old, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano announced Wednesday, July 13.
The mayor advised parents and guardians to register their children who fall under the immunocompromised category to call the Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH) at telephone number 0936-6467848 for their vaccination schedules.
Rubiano said minors who are non-immunocompromised can visit their health centers or check the schedule at ://www.facebook.com/story.
She also encouraged the adult population to receive the booster shot, especially those who belong to the vulnerable sector, for added protection.
On July 12, the city logged 12 new Covid-19 infections, bringing the total number of active cases to 29.
Rubiano urged the residents to practise the EMI habit (ensure to always wash your hands, mask is a must, implement physical distancing) to prevent the spread of the disease.
She said the city government has recorded a total of 29,017 Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, with 587 deaths and 28,400 recoveries.
