Armenia`s FM dismisses  Russia counterpart`s claims of political  persecution in Armenia

ArmInfo. RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has denied the claims of his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, regarding political persecution in Armenia.  Speaking in parliament on January 21 during a government hour, Mirzoyan noted that the information presented by the Russian Foreign Minister is false.


The RA Foreign Minister noted that criminal prosecutions in Armenia are possible if political statements contain threats to sovereignty, territorial integrity, or the overthrow of the constitutional order. "But even if that were the case, commenting on it would mean interference in our internal affairs. Let everyone focus on their work," Ararat Mirzoyan said. -0-
