Watch: Chris Pine Goes On A Rescue Mission In 4-Minute IMAX Trailer For 'The Finest Hours' Plus New Clips
With one foot in the space opera world of "Star Trek" as Captain James T. Kirk and another about to step into the DC Extended Universe with his role as Col. Steve Trevor in "Wonder Woman," Chris Pine is still committed to making non-fantastical movies. The actor has credited Disney, which has more than enough on its plate with Marvel and "Star Wars" fare, for rolling the dice on "The Finest Hours," the sort of movie that many studios would decline to make these days.
"...it is a rarity, a big studio spending $80 million on a one-off period motion picture that doesn’t have a cape," Pine told the Toronto Sun. But don't let the words "period picture" mislead you —there is plenty of spectacle in this drama, and a supersized IMAX trailer is here to show you what's coming.
