‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’ Release Bumped Up Six Weeks
“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” starring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, has moved up from its July 7, 2017 date and will now be released on May 26, 2017.
The franchise’s previous installment, titled “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” also debuted in May. Since its 2011 release, it has grossed over $1 billion globally.
Geoffrey Rush will reprise his role as Captain Barbossa and Orlando Bloom will return as Will Turner. Javier Bardem has been cast as Captain Salazar.

The film, currently in post-production, is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg.
Sony’s “Spider-Man,” starring Tom Holland, will now take its place on July 7, 2017.

Disney also announced that they pushed the release date of “Star Wars: Episode VIII” from May 26, 2017 to December 15 of the same year.
