According to Armenian IC press service, accusers are charged.
"According to the evidence received during the preliminary
investigation, it was found out that two young men recruited into the
ranks of Armed Forces of Armenia received a postponement from
military service because of health problems due to bribery. In
particular, the parents of conscripts in the period from October 2016
to February 2017, by prior agreement, handed over to individuals who
allegedly committed large amounts of money. The latter through the
relevant officials decided on the release of compulsory military
service or the receipt of a postponement. Thanks to fake medical
help, both young men were found temporarily unfit for military
service and they were granted postponement for a period of 3 years.
During the investigation, the identity of the person who assisted
parents in giving bribes on a particularly large scale to officials
was identified. The latter on June 30 was charged on the grounds of
Article 38-312 part 3 p.1., As a measure of restraint was chosen
arrest. In the framework of the criminal case under investigation, 3
more people were involved earlier. The preliminary investigation is
continuing, " the department's message reads.
