Cory Booker has officially dropped out of the presidential race and fans are upset that his girlfriend Rosario Dawson no longer has a shot at becoming First Lady of the United States.
The 50-year-old politician, who is a New Jersey Senator, was one of many democrats running for president in 2020.
“It’s with a full heart that I share this news—I’m suspending my campaign for president. To my team, supporters, and everyone who gave me a shot—thank you. I am so proud of what we built, and I feel nothing but faith in what we can accomplish together,” Cory wrote on Twitter on Monday morning (January 13).
Cory and Rosario have been dating for a little over a year and she has been his side on the campaign trail when her schedule permits.
One common theme we’re seeing on Twitter this morning is that fans are upset that they won’t have Rosario as their next First Lady. Hopefully she gets a shot in the future if Cory decides to run again one day!
