Northern Christian to expose those behind Kaduna killings
Christian politicians in northern Nigeria under the group Northern Nigeria Christian Politicians (NNCP) have described the ongoing southern Kaduna killings as the handwork of President Muhammadu Buhari’s opponents.
According to the group’s chairman, Hon. Keftin Amuga, the attacks were not being carried out by herdsmen.

He said the mastermind were bent on discrediting the Buhari-led administration ahead of 2019 general elections.
Amuga alleged that political opponents in their desperation were seeking to jeop¬ar¬dize the genuine in¬vi¬ta¬tion by Buhari for peaceful co¬-existence among Nige¬ri¬ans.
“The NNCP is grieved over the South¬ern Kaduna cri¬sis and those in neigh¬bor¬ing Nasarawa, Benue, Plateau and Taraba states and con¬demns it in its en¬tirety.
“We, there¬fore, de¬mand that the fed¬eral gov¬ern¬ment ar¬rests and pros¬e¬cutes both the mas¬ter¬minds and the foot sol¬diers,” Amuga said.
He urged stakeholders, including northern governors, traditional rulers, religious leaders, groups and political elite to join hands to end the crisis.

Amuga also applauded the decision of the president in turning down the senate’s recommendation to sack Engr. Babachir David Lawal as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), as “doing so could have compromised due process and created a precedence that could become an albatross.”
