Inter will face Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League knockout play-off. The Serie A giants will play the first leg away on February 18 at 21:00 CET and the second leg at San Siro on February 24 at 21:00 CET.
Chivu reacts to Inter’s Champions League draw
“Every Champions League game comes with its own challenges,” Chivu told Inter’s official website.
“Bodø/Glimt have proven themselves, in this first phase, to be a threat to major clubs, both at home and on the road.”
Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti had already spoken to Sky Sport Italia minutes after the draw in Nyon, assuring that the Nerazzurri will “take care of every detail” in their upcoming Champions League encounters.
Inter ended the Champions League group phase in 10th place, finishing just one point short of the top eight that secured automatic qualification for the Round of 16.
Inter are currently the Serie A table leaders with 52 points, five more than city rivals Milan, who are placed second.
The Nerazzurri’s next league game is away at Cremonese on Sunday, February 1.
