Official: Date and location of Milan vs. Como match confirmed after Australia debacle
The Serie A match between Milan and Como, which the league had sought to play in Perth, Australia, will now be played in San Siro after all, it has been confirmed.
Milan vs. Como details confirmed
The Serie A match between Milan and Como, originally scheduled for February 8 during the 24th round of 2025-26 fixtures, can not be played in San Siro that weekend due to a clash with the Winter Olympics opening ceremony.
For that reason, the league had sought to play the match in Perth, Australia, which, had it been approved, would have been the first time that a top-flight match was played outside its national boundaries.
Despite months of negotiations with various authorities and governing bodies, the final permission for the match to be played in Australia was not granted.
As a result, the league has resorted to playing the match in San Siro, but at a later date instead.
As of Saturday, it has been confirmed that the Milan vs. Como match will take place in San Siro and will be played on Wednesday, February 18 kicking off at 19.45 GMT.
