At least six Juventus players not part of Spalletti’s future plans
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, at least six Juventus players are not part of Luciano Spalletti’s plans for next season, should the Tuscan tactician stay in Turin.
Juventus coach Spalletti has already identified the players who won’t be part of his project in 2026-27 if he remains at the club beyond the summer.
Which players are not part of Spalletti’s plans at Juventus?
Lois Openda has surely disappointed Spalletti in training, as the Belgian has played just 87 minutes across eight appearances in 2026.
Dusan Vlahovic and Jonathan David were injured against Galatasaray on Tuesday, yet Spalletti picked Weston McKennie as a centre-forward, rather than Openda.
Juan Cabal had a terrible impact in Istanbul the other night, and according to Gazzetta, the Colombia international is struggling to adapt to Spalletti’s style of play, especially when it comes to building up from the back.
Federico Gatti also struggled in Istanbul after being introduced from the bench, and will serve as a backup again next season if he stays in Turin.
Goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio has naturally attracted criticism as Juventus conceded 13 goals in their last four matches, while Vasilije Adzic and Edon Zhegrova have received reduced playing time in recent weeks.
As per Gazzetta, all these players are not expected to be part of Spalletti’s future plans if the Tuscan tactician remains in Turin next season.
Spalletti’s contract at the Allianz Stadium runs out in June.
