Senegal to parade AFCON winners trophy before Peru friendly in Stade de France, Paris
March 27 – Senegal are set to parade the Africa Cup of Nations trophy in Paris this weekend, escalating a row with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) that shows no sign of cooling.
The move will come ahead of Saturday’s friendly against Peru national football team at Stade de France – a symbolic gesture from the Senegalese camp following CAF’s decision to strip them of the continental title.
Senegal have already appealed to the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) to reclaim their Africa Cup of Nations title after CAF stripped the team of the trophy last week –
