Report Bernardo Silva ready to leave Manchester City, as Juventus and Barcelona battle
Bernardo Silva has reportedly decided to leave Manchester City as a free agent, with Juventus and Barcelona the main contenders for his signature.
According to Portuguese website A Bola, the midfielder has made up his mind and will not sign a new contract when the current deal expires on June 30.
He will then celebrate his 32nd birthday in August, so is still in good shape and able to play on for many more years.
Bernardo Silva has no shortage of options
After a career at Benfica, AS Monaco and since 2017 at Manchester City, Bernardo Silva is eager to experience a different league.
A Bola claim that while Barcelona remain the favourites for his next club, Juventus are certainly not out of the running.
The Bianconeri are said to be proposing a salary worth up to €8m per season.
Although that is nothing compared to the wages on offer from the Saudi Pro League or Major League Soccer, it is reported that Bernardo Silva would much prefer to remain in Europe.
Benfica and Galatasaray are also contenders, but the battle would largely seem to be behind Barcelona and Juventus.
