Help needed on game broadcasts
I'm looking for the best way to catch Sox games on TV where I currently live. I'm from Argenta, Il. (about 2.5 hours south of the G Spot)
With the recent change from WGN to WGN America and also my new cable provider (since moving recently) not having Comcast in their broadcast lineup, I'm without an idea on which way is best to turn.
I chose the cable TV route mostly because I prefer cable internet. We had went for awhile with no TV (only Netflix/Hulu) on much better internet (Mediacom) but now that I have NewWave in a small little town, I have only slow internet available and cable that doesn't provide what I'm interested in. Slow cable internet beats the heck out of phone internet (which I also have through Frontier) and all they offer is DISHTV, which I've never actually had but never heard good things about dish reception/reliability. I just recently looked and they do offer a WGN cable channel 239 which I'm guessing would have some of the Sox games??? Can anyone confirm this?
The last two years I've bought the MLB.TV package and absolutely HATE the blackout restrictions, but I watch my games nonetheless. My original intention was a VPN bypass on the blackouts but I never got around to reading into it and trying it. Any ideas from the pack out there that could help a guy out?
