Royals fans show Lorenzo Cain love in his return
LoCain and Salvy, together again.
Lorenzo Cain made his first return to Kansas City since signing with the Milwaukee Brewers, and all the feelings came welling back. It is a bittersweet reunion with Cain, who is off to a blazing start for the Brewers, batting .303/.400/.461 in 21 games so far. Cain’s return brings back so many great memories, from his performance in the 2014 ALCS, to his run home against the Blue Jays in the 2015 ALCS, to all the highlight reel catches he made over the year. But there is also sadness as the realization sets in that Cain is with the opposition now. Still, it was good to see that smile back. And Royals fans showered him with love.
The fans started showing their appreciation as soon as he got off the bus.

Lorenzo took some time to meet with his old friends in the clubhouse.
And of course, the fans let him know how much they love him when he came to bat.

And of course, there will be lots of hugs.
Of course, game time reminded us which side Lorenzo Cain is on.

But even when he homered, he got a standing ovation.
Not too often you hear fans cheering for an opposing player's homer, but @Royals fans give LoCain's solo shot an ovation. Just like old times.

Not every day you see an opposing player get an ovation for a home run. Welcome back, Lo!
