Seat squeeze is on as airlines roll out even tighter cabins
As American Airlines takes delivery of more new Boeing 737 MAX8 aircraft – it only has eight in service right now, mostly on the East Coast – more passengers will experience what the airline's flight crews have been complaining about in company meetings: Really small bathrooms.
The lavs are reportedly about 25 percent smaller than those in the airline's existing 737-800s.
The Chicago Business Journal uncovered a recording of a recent AA employee meeting where some flight crew members complained to company president Robert Isom about the size of the tiny lavs. One pilot called the plane's aft lavs the "most miserable experience in the world,"
