Naba Kisore Das, the health minister of India's Odisha state, was airlifted to a hospital in Bhubaneswar on Sunday after he was shot. Doctors found that Das had "agonal heart beats," which is a sign that he was on the verge of death. The postmortem report found that Das died from cardiogenic shock, a condition in which the heart can't pump enough blood to meet the body's needs. Das was killed by gunshot wounds, and the crime branch believes that he was killed because of his position as the health minister.
