Flames Loan Gawdin to Switzerland’s EHC Visp
The Flames have sent Glenn Gawdin overseas to start the 2020-21 season.
STOCKTON, Calif. – The Calgary Flames announced today that they have loaned Glenn Gawdin to EHC Visp in Switzerland.
Gawdin, 23, is coming off a breakthrough campaign in his second professional season, a year in which he was named an AHL All-Star while leading the Heat in scoring with 47 points (16g, 31a) and earning his first NHL call-up. Since making his Stockton debut in 2018-19, Gawdin has amassed 27 goals and 58 assists with a plus-8 rating in 117 games.
The Richmond, British Columbia native signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Flames for the 2020-21 season on October 14.
