PHIL FODEN rescued Manchester City’s Champions League campaign with a last-gasp winner against Borussia Dortmund at the Etihad.
Marco Reus had scored a late equaliser as Borussia Dortmund apperaed to have put a huge dent in Manchester City’s hunt for a first-ever Champions League title.
Kevin De Bruyne had given the hosts an early lead with the hosts looking comfortable.
Dortmund captain Reus slotted home in the 84th minute to seemingly give the German giants the edge going into the second leg of the quarter-final tie.
But Pep Guardiola was left indebted to Foden whose late goal ensured City took a lead, albeit a slender one, with them to Germany ahead of next Wednesday’s return leg.
