RuPaul's Drag Race: Rosé Named Spokesperson For BABE Wine Campaign
RuPaul's Drag Race season 13 finalist Rosé is teaming up with BABE Wine to promote its canned rosé and give us "the summer we deserve."
The iconic Rosé from RuPaul's Drag Race season 13 is teaming up with BABE Wine to help fans ring in a somewhat "normal" post-pandemic summer. Rosé, who landed a spot in the top four of the season, was chosen to be the brand's spokesperson for BABE Rosé. This is yet another line on the queen's ever-growing resume, which includes recording a hit track and touring around the world. It seems like Rosé can do it all, including bringing us "The Summer We Deserve" after last year was spent trapped in quarantine.
The fans fell in love with Rosé in the most recent season of Drag Race, which saw her turning out fierce fashion looks, belting out Rusical numbers, and portraying a hilariously inappropriate Mary Queen of Scots during Snatch Game. Despite her shocking lip sync loss to Kandy Muse at the grand finale, Rosé continues to make a name for herself outside of the show. She released the catchy song "The Devil In The Details" and is bringing her drag to countless fans as part of the Drive 'N Drag and Werk the World tours. On YouTube, she also launched the series "Wine Crush Wednesday With Rosé," which features her drunkenly sipping and describing various options.
Now, Rosé is taking her passion for wine to the next level by partnering with BABE Wine for its new "The Summer We Deserve" campaign. In a video advertisement on Instagram (seen below), Rosé appears popping out of a dumpster in all of her pink and sparkly glory. She reflects on how summer 2020 was "trash" because of COVID-19, and details all of the activities society can get back to this year, including weddings and relaxing by the pool. Of course, Rosé is sipping on a can of BABE Rosé. "It truly is a match made in heaven," Rosé said of the partnership. "Get ready honey, 'cause it's out with the old and in with the BABE. BABE Rosé that is! Summer has officially begun." Additionally, Rosé announced a contest that will award 50 winners an 8-pack of BABE Rosé, and two will be selected to receive an entire summer's worth of wine.
For Rosé's diehard followers who were livid over her third/fourth-place finish, it is exciting to see her shining in the post-Drag Race spotlight. Even though RuPaul compared Rosé to the talented season 6 winner Bianca Del Rio, who recently launched a new podcast, many felt that Ru didn't give her a fair shot at the crown, often describing her as too perfect. However, Rosé is breaking down her self-built walls to become her own drag superstar.
Rosé has everything it takes to follow in the high-heeled footsteps of major RuPaul's Drag Race names like Bianca Del Rio and Trixie Mattel. These queens are helping expand drag beyond the LGBTQIA+ community, turning it into a cultural phenomenon that's loved by the masses. Rosé appeared on the show at the most opportune time, and we can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.
